September Heart has been an artist for over 40 years, experimenting with many different mediums, and has now chosen to explore the encaustic technique because of its many possibilities.

The nature of this encaustic medium offers September the ability to scrape, burn and build up the surface. This creates a physical, as well as an optical, depth and dimension that she feels could not be achieved any other way.

September's work is abstract allowing her the freedom to create her own unique reality.

Her paintings are sensual, textural and layered; the resulting effect is energetic, yet tranquil.
